2011 Racing Season

We had a great racing season in 2010 and we’re looking forward to more fun in 2011. The season begins Friday, May 27th and runs through Monday, Sept. 5th. We will have 60 days of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing, including the 53rd running of the All American Futurity.

Change in Race Days
Please take a close look at the race schedule for 2011. Races will now take place Friday through Monday, with the exception of the All American Trials weekend which will be Thursday through Sunday.

Service Changes
Another change to note is that you will now have one server for both food and drink. The Board believes this will improve your service and be less confusing to guests. Your servers will be assisted by the bussers and food runners in helping serve your needs.

Updated and Improved Menu
You will also notice a change in the Food Menu. We will now be offering one menu all four days of live racing! Make sure to check the middle insert for information on desserts and specials!

Jewelry!
Cathy Eastham will be showing her fine jewelry in the Board Room. Please see her on Memorial weekend for a schedule of dates.

Memberships for Lease or Sale
If you wish to place your seats on the for-sale or lease list, or need a copy of the for-sale or lease list call us at (575) 378-4446. Also, please check out our website for a map of seats for sale or lease.

Members, remember that if you lease your seats you relinquish your club privileges for the season such as free daily admission, admission to the parties, parking stickers, etc. Also, if you lease your membership, please notify the office as soon as possible with the lessee’s information. Your dues must be paid in full before the club will release privileges to the lessee.

Labor Day Reservations
For the Labor Day weekend, we are asking members to only reserve the number of seats in which they own. In other words, if you own four seats you may only reserve four extra for the weekend. Extra seats are $20.00 per seat/per day. Also, please remember that you must have your parking pass to park on Labor Day weekend. If you are having guests it is your responsibility to make sure they have your passes if you want them to park in the club lot.
Public tickets are also available for $300 for admission for one person for the whole weekend by contacting the office. Limited public tickets are available. P Only {
The Ruidoso Jockey Club Lloyd L. Davis, Jr. Scholarship
As many of you know we awarded our fourth Annual scholarship this past August, to busser Amber Yaksich. Amber is now in her second semester at University of New Mexico and is excelling in her studies. This year’s scholarship will be awarded at the Annual Stockholder’s meeting in August. The Board feels that this is a great way to assist the fine young men and women that are employed at the Club to achieve their educational goals

A final note
Please remember to hold on to your member tickets (gold cards), these tickets are good from season to season. If you have misplaced your tickets please let us know so that we can order new ones.
Please take a moment to introduce yourself to the new employees, so that they may better serve your needs as a member. Also, when charging to your house account or checking in at the front door, please give the employee the membership name that is listed on your stock certificate, not your nameplate. The computer system only recognizes the names listed on the stock certificates.
